Goodbye, 2023!

There were fun moments this year and I absolutely enjoyed the garden this year but I hope that next year will be a bit more exciting again when it comes to birds. The last four months of the year show a Chipmunk, a Chickadee, a Bluebird and a Junco. I hope for some snow in January, just for some fun photo opportunities, and would love a return of a Chickadee nest and of course the Blues.

Bowser Junior Day

今年も来年のカレンダー制作の時がきた🌞

・

毎年、前年に生まれた新作から

記録のようなご報告のような気持ちで選んでいた絵たち。

近年は、候補から更に半分以上絞る時間に唸りながらも、再度絵と向き合うことに…

それらを描いた時間や機会を振り返る良い時間を過ごす夏でしたが。。✴︎

遂に、、今回はどう考えても選ぶ気が起こらない数であることが判明して🌬🌬😱

そんなに描いた⁇…のか、、と

初めて振り返る2024夏👀

そして、ひとまず来年のカレンダーは、半年分の絵から絞ることに決める◯

残り半年分以降は、その後のカレンダーで辻褄が合うかは全く分からないけど😆🌬

クライアントワークで生まれた絵たちは除いているので、、

いつか1年位オリジナルを描かないでいたらリズムが合うのかな⁇🙄…え⁉️オリジナルを1年描かないなんてこと今まである？そんなことできるのか⁇それは生きていないこととイコールでは⁇

、、とか、変な思考に🤣🤣

別に…どうしてもカレンダーで新作をご紹介しなくてはいけないワケではないので、、

解決しない時には、単純にこれまでとは変えていく時…ということなんだなと納得する。。

果たしてどうなるかな。

カレンダーのサイズや形も、

25年以上作る中では様々な遍歴があり、実は今でも作りたい形は色々頭に浮かんでいる💡♡

いずれにせよ何はともあれ

選べない数の絵たちを見ながら…

沢山描く機会があったことにとても感謝の気持ちと、何よりこんなに絵を描く幸せな時間を過ごせたんだなぁと、とても幸せな気持ちの今年の夏✨

With every month's spotlight this year, I'm going to paint a little word picture of a comfy fairytale cottage. I'll set the stage, adding more detail to this picturesque lifestyle cottage through each photo. My hope is that you'll imagine right alongside me. And, in the comments, I would LOVE for you to play along! Tell me what your cottage looks like, what the property looks like, what you'd change about mine, ANYTHING!! (6/12) You can't have a cozy cottage without wildlife, and more specifically: birds. So, in addition to the resident mallards in my peaceful pond and the Canadian Geese that nest on the edges of my backyard stream, my little cottage with thatched roofing is regularly visited by Black-Capped Chickadees. These sweet songbirds fill the Spring air with their song: Chick-a-dee-dee, chick-a-dee-dee." Most often, the black-capped chickadees can be seen flitting about my flowering trees, sitting on my mailbox, or sitting on the fencing that surrounds my garden.
